Pictures of faculty and staff reading their favorite book to put up in the hallway
New Arrival Party
When all of the new books arrive at the library, invite the teachers to come in and take a look at them. Provide snack items to draw them into the party.
LMC Mornings
Invite all students to come into the LMC in the morning to read. Lay out some of the new arrivals or highlight a particular section. Ask some students to play their musical instruments or recommend a play list. Breakfast should be provided to help draw students into the LMC (it can be as simple as granola bars and milk).
LMC Orientation for New Teachers
During New Teacher Orientation, get some time to show them what the library has to offer. That way they will know what a great resource it is!!
Tour the library highlighting the reference and non-fiction sections
Show/Demonstrate On-Line Databases
Offer examples of how the LMS can be of help to the new teachers
